Our History

Feeding St. Louis
Since 1987

The story begins with Bart and Roseanne Saracino, who helped shape St. Louis dining through the Bartolino’s legacy. After decades in the restaurant business, Chris’ Pancake and Dining opened its doors in 1987. Named after their youngest son, Chris, the restaurant was built on years of hospitality and a deep love for feeding people well.

Originally opened in South City, the restaurant quickly earned its reputation for comfort food, all-day breakfast, and a place where regulars and newcomers alike feel right at home.

With a second location now thriving downtown, Chris’ remains a St. Louis staple—proud to carry on a legacy of service, tradition, and seriously good pancakes.

Continuing the Bartolino’s Legacy

Today, we operate two Chris’ locations—our South City original and our downtown Docket spot. We’ve been voted Best Pancakes in St. Louis and remain committed to quality, comfort, and community. As we grow, we’ll keep serving the food you love with the warmth that got us here.
